Merkur Cup Finals Schedule

The fall 2024 season finals will take place Saturday December 7 at 2pm.

3.5: Squashabout vs Badminton and Racquet Club

4.0: The Village People vs Toronto Athletic Club

4.5: Mayfair Lakeshore vs Toronto Cricket Club

5.0: Toronto Racquet Club vs LA Fitness Don Mills

The event is open to all spectators, come down to support your home team or just enjoy the squash!

The our Fall 2024 Season finals are confirmed! The action continues December 7th at Mayfair Lakeshore. Come cheer on your teams next weekend!

In the 3.5 final both finalists @thebandr and @squashabout had hard fought wins over strong opponents in the semi finals. Expect a tight battle!

In the 4.0 division The Village People went undefeated in the regular season and go into the finals as favourites. Can the @toronto_athletic_club give them their first loss of the season?

In the 4.5 division also undefeated @mayfairclubs takes on a surging @torontocricketclub who will be out with and determined to upset the standings.

In our highest division the 5.0 division the young @varsitybluessquash team will be eager to take home an early season trophy while @lafitness.donmills will look get their name down as winners once again.

Last month capped the end to our summer season and first full year of LeagueTO. Congratulations to all of our Merkur Cup winners and competitors over the summer and the last year! This summer we had 2 divisions, 4.0 and 5.0. The winners of both divisions were from LA Fitness Don mills, in the 4.0 Salmans Hot Shots overcame The Crew (Squashabout). In the 5.0 LA Fitness took down the Toronto Athletic Club, going down to the 5th game in the deciding match. #squash #Toronto

Winning 3-1 against LA Fitness Don Mills, the score doesn’t do justice to the most exciting final we’ve had with 3/4 matches going to 5 there was hardly anything to split the two teams heading into the deciding final match. Some very tight battles at positions 3 and 4 meant this could have gone either way. This was closely contested but this time it was LA Fitness who were victorious. Toronto Tournament Alert! March 22-24 Mayfair Lakeshore is once again hosting the Ontario Open presented by @ontabinc. Sign up early as the draws will be full! With 8 freshly maintained courts and experienced club pro @mrinalmanudutt at the helm, this isn’t one to skip.

Participants can make use of the excellent Mayfair facilities over the weekend. The restaurant is open for participants and spectators can grab snacks, food, and drinks to watch the action unfold; including some of the best current and rising stars from Ontario and abroad compete in the men’s and opens open draws. Our division 5.0 league finished on December 16th with La Fitness and Squashabout playing off in the finals. Squashabout unfortunately were without a 4th player but nearly pulled it out, losing on the tiebreak for games.

Our Division 4.0 finished on December 16, the finals were played between LA Fitness and Squashabout1. Despite some very close battles, LA Fitness proved too strong and won the day 4-0.
